Considering the cost between LCD VS LED televisions makes a significant difference between the two. Two years ago, LED TVs are more expensive than LCD TVs. But then, technology is always improving so what is new is really expensive. As time passes, the price difference is not more than 150-300 dollars. Pure LCD TVs are already being phased out by manufacturers because of the new LED backlit LCD TVs. The products that can keep up to date with the trend are retained by the industries so they can still be sold in the market. It is just a matter of business strategy. LED TVs are saleable in the market today.
